One tap. One more flight.

Sunbird is a game about one decision, made over and over, faster than you can think about it. Tap to fly. Thread the gaps in the standing stones. That is the whole control scheme, and it takes about four seconds to learn.

CHAIN ×3 one clean pass breaks it

How a flight goes

Four seconds to learn. The rest is nerve.

There is one input and no menu between you and it. Everything else in the game is a consequence of how close you are willing to fly.

1

Tap to fly

Every tap lifts the bird; gravity does the rest. Space works too. There is nothing else to press.

2

Thread the stones

Score is stones passed, and only stones passed. Nothing you buy and nothing you risk can move it.

3

Shave for fireflies

Pass close enough to graze and you earn. Chain grazes and the multiplier climbs — up to five.

4

Fly the day out

The sky turns as you go. Almost nobody flies a full cycle. That is the point of it.

The clock is the sky

A whole day in one flight

The day cycle is bound to progress, not to a timer. It goes dark on the hundredth stone and comes back around at two hundred — so the colour of your sky is an honest readout of how far you got.

What makes a flight

Six systems, and none of them are a shop.

Sunbird shares a genre with a lot of games. It does not share its systems with any of them.

Shave the stone

Pass close enough to graze and you earn fireflies. Pass closer and earn more. String grazes together and the multiplier climbs, up to five — until one clean, safe pass breaks the chain. Your score never changes; only your nerve pays.

Two ways through

Some stones open twice. Take the high road and you pass safely with nothing to show for it. Drop into the low passage — tighter, closer to the ground, where the fireflies are — and you have to climb back out.

A whole day in one flight

The sky turns as you go: daylight, dusk, night, dawn — and the sun glyphs carved into the stones glow gold while it is dark. It goes dark on the hundredth stone and comes back around at two hundred.

The same course for everyone

There is one course a day, identical for every player in the world — same stones, same fireflies, same choices, generated to land in exactly the same place on every phone.

Share the highlights

When a flight ends, the game cuts the moments worth watching into a short vertical clip you can post anywhere. It carries the course code, so whoever sees it can fly the exact same stones.

Earn your feathers

Nothing is for sale. Every bird is unlocked by a single flight that did the thing, and the trail behind you thickens every twenty-five stones — ending in an aurora if you make it all the way round.

The roost

Nothing here is for sale.

Six birds. Every one of them is a receipt for a flight you actually made — not a thing you bought, and not a thing you ground out over a week.

What a flight looks like

Every frame below is drawn by the shipping game, at the size a phone draws it. Nothing here is a mock-up.

Night: sixty-two stones passed, four hundred and two fireflies, a nine-graze chain, and the carved sun glyphs glowing gold under a crescent moon.
Fly a whole day in one flightNight falls on the hundredth stone
Daylight: a stone that opens twice, the low passage marked with an arrow and strung with fireflies.
Two ways through. One pays. The low road is tighter and richer
Dusk: the bird grazes the tip of a hanging stone, the graze ring flaring and the chain reading three.
Shave the stone. Chain the risk. The multiplier climbs to five
